Statement of Principles

The Project for a New American Revolution (PNAR) is dedicated to promoting peace, freedom, prosperity and truth. America is urgently in need of a political revolution to bring about the decentralization of power and this revolution must first take place in the minds of Americans. Truthful information and critical thinking will be instrumental in bringing about the next political revolution.

Thoughts To Ponder

Stop trying to control.
Let go of fixed plans and concepts,
and the world will govern itself.
The more prohibitions you have,
the less virtuous people will be.
The more weapons you have,
the less secure people will be.
The more subsidies you have
the less self-reliant people will be.
Let go of the law,
and people become honest.
Let go of economics,
and people become prosperous.
Let go of religion,
and people become serene.
Let go of all desire for the common good,
and the good becomes common as grass.
- Tao Te Ching

The way of noninterference - those who would take hold of the world and act on it, never, I notice, succeed.
- Lao Tzu

All mankind...being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions.

- Samuel Adams

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy.
- John Quincy Adams

I heartily accept the motto, "That government is best which governs least"; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which I also believe - "That government is best which governs not at all"; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have.
- Henry David Thoreau

To be governed is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so.
- Pierre-Joseph Proudhon

The state is the great fictitious entity by which everyone seeks to live at the expense of everyone else.
- Frederic Bastiat

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.
- Lysander Spooner

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

We Americans have no commission from God to police the world.
- Benjamin Harrison

Aggression is simply another name for government.
- Benjamin Tucker

War is the health of the state.
- Randolph Bourne

War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious.
- General Smedley Butler

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
- H. L. Mencken

The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule.
- H.L. Mencken

Here is the Golden Rule of sound citizenship, the first and greatest lesson in the study of politics: you get the same order of criminality from any State to which you give power to exercise it; and whatever power you give the State to do things for you carries with it the equivalent power to do things to you.
- Albert Jay Nock

Our country is now geared to an arms economy bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and an incessant propaganda of fear.

We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.
- Dwight D. Eisenhower

Anarchism is founded on the observation that since few men are wise enough to rule themselves, even fewer are wise enough to rule others.
- Edward Abbey

There is a way to end all wars, and the means of doing so can be stated in the following words: we must learn to love our children and grandchildren more than we do the state.
- Butler Shaffer

I'll show you politics in America. Here it is, right here. "I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs." "I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking." "Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!" Shut up! Go back to bed, America. Your government is in control. Here's Love Connection. Watch this and get fat and stupid. By the way, keep drinking beer, you fucking morons.

Postition Paper #23:
Little Tony was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar after another.
After the 6th candy bar, a man on the bench across from him said, "Son, you know eating all that candy isn't good for you. It will give you acne, rot your teeth, and make you fat."
Little Tony replied, "My grandfather lived to be 107 years old."
The man asked, "Did your grandfather eat 6 candy bars at a time?"
Little Tony answered, "No, he minded his own fucking business."
